Celebrating perpetual profession
On Sunday 12 April Anna Burrowes professed her perpetual vows as a Sister of Mercy at Holy Name Church in Dunedin.
Anna began her journey with Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa Sisters of Mercy New Zealand as a parishioner of St Joseph’s Parish in Papanui. After two years of novitiate in Wellington, Anna made her first profession of vows in 2009.
He Whakapumautanga Perpetual Profession was celebrated with sisters, family and friends and many others whose lives Anna had touched in ministry along the journey of Mercy.
On that journey Anna has studied theology, worked for the St Vincent de Paul Society and now studies and co-ordinates the Walk by Faith programme in the diocese of Dunedin.
Anna took as her motto ‘Mercy and Compassion.’
Congratulations Anna as you continue your Mercy journey.
